Finally 2 teeth!

Yay! Finally 2 teeth and a happier Ben!

We went to the annual Pit Spit. Everyone gets ice cream after they spit - sorry Ben, we asked you to keep the spitting to yourself and maybe you can have ice cream next year.

Other news from the week is Ben's new talents - he saws "wawawawa" with the back of his hand to his mouth and he blows raspberries. :) Much more entertaining not at 2am but fun all the same.
Our new adventure starts this week. Friday morning we're heading north to Ontario. Anyone needing out new address, send us an email! We might miss next week's update depending on our internet situation in the new apartment. But don't worry, we'll be back online soon!

Being a little guy

Ben had a good rest of the week. Well, still not too much sleeping and that second tooth is still elusive but other than that good. :) We went to the library and worked on making friends with the boys there. We went to the Farmer's Market (and got an awesome peach pie). We practiced with the sippy cup - sorry no pictures but we should really post a video on YouTube! It's pretty funny how excited he gets about his spoon and cup (and really excited about Mom's cup).

This week we're looking forward to the annual Pit Spit and hoping to see Dad soon!

Happy Half-Birthday, Ben!

Just think, 6 months ago...

And now look at me!

It's been a tough couple days for Ben but he's being a trooper. Tuesday he had 3 shots and was totally deserving of his "little hero" shirt that he wore. :) He's up to 17.5lbs and 26.25 inches! What a moose! And he's cutting his second tooth. It's visible but not quite through yet. Hopefully it'll come in tomorrow, Mom really needs some sleep soon!

On Saturday we got to tour the Fairchild Mansion. It is beautiful! And Ben loved all the lights!

After this week's trip to library lapsit Ben has been working on some new skills. He sorta sat for most of storytime (tripod style). And he's been thinking about rolling back to tummy. With a little help he can get over, but on his own he gets onto his side and figures that's a fine place to be. He's also working on an army crawl. Not quite there yet either but seeing the other kids getting around on their own seems to really make him want to try. Man, are we gonna miss library day when we move! Maybe they have one in Burlington...

Who Needs Sleep?

Mr. Ben is pondering what the big deal is with sleep. It just gets in the way of all the fun!

Like chewing on toys, playing with the cats, going for walks, meeting people, enjoying nature, talking and singing, working on getting around, reading books...

Even with our misunderstanding of sleep and its enormous value, we had a pretty good week. This week Dad starts his new job (and yes, we have an apartment!). Mom is hoping to bake some cookies. And Ben is looking forward to many walks to see the trees and will hopefully be taking more naps. :)
